I know many people hate snow.  The cold, the mess.  That is not me…I love snow!  Seeing that pure white beauty never gets old for me.  Sure, I’m not a fan when it melts (and the mess that ensues) but I love it while it lasts.  :)

The Milletary Family

A week or so before Christmas, a friend at church contacted me to see if I could take pictures of their family when everyone was together at Christmas time.

Excited about the opportunity, I said “yes”!  Here are some of the pictures from the day:

The Williams family!
The Allens!
The Roper Family!
Mr. and Mrs. Milletary with all of their grandchildren!
The Milletary’s with their daughters and son-in-laws.
The girl grandkids.

The boy grandkids.
Azriel (above) and Titus (below) peeping through the window!
 The entire family!
After we finished taking photos of the whole family, the grandkids got to play in the yard for a little bit!  It was freezing cold outside and the wind was blowing really strong, but they endured it well!

Emma (right).

Like I said, the wind was blowing really strong! :)

Once everyone had gone inside, I took a few “couple portraits” out on the porch.

Mr. and Mrs. Milletary.

Mr. and Mrs. Williams (I love the above photo!!!).

Mr. and Mrs. Roper!  (The photo on the left is another favorite!)

Some more photos of the cute grandkids! :)

Azriel and Carter are the same age, so we had to get pictures of them together! :)
So there you have the beautiful Milletary family!!
This past Sunday I took some pictures of a precious newborn and his family so I’ll hopefully be posting those photos sometime soon!  And maybe one day I’ll post some pictures from the wedding I photographed last October…yeah, I have a tendency to procrastinate sometimes! :)

Ice at Wintergreen

You’ve probably figured out by now that I went to Wintergreen!  Yep, my uncle and his family took me to Wintergreen last week (Wed. – Fri.).  They went skiing on Thursday (I watched my cousins, Cadence, Justus and Asher) and then they took me tubing Thursday night.  It was so much fun!!!  As we drove up to our house on Wednesday it was snowing and we ended up with 3-4 inches of snow!  Thursday afternoon, when the little ones were sleeping and Uncle Kevin was working, I went outside and captured some of the beautiful scenery around the little house we were staying in!

I absolutely love snow; sparkly, fluffy and altogether lots of fun!

Isn’t it so neat how each icicle is shaped a little different?!
Snow and ice on a fence.

This icicle was hanging on the grill and the sun was shining brilliantly through it.  As I was taking pictures of it I noticed that it was melting!   I got really excited because I had wanted to try and capture water droplets before but had never had the chance!  So, I held the shutter button down and took lots of pictures of the icicle as it slowly melted!
Here are two of the results:

Isn’t that so neat!?  I couldn’t decide which one I liked the best so I leave that choice up to you!  (I’m leaning towards the photo on the left as my favorite!)
Anyways, there are a few of the many pictures I took of the ice and snow at our vacation home in Wintergreen!  There is a slight possibility that I’ll post some pictures of my two little cousins playing in the snow too! :)
Have a blessed day!

Frozen Ice Droplets (and some new info)

This morning before breakfast I saw these beautiful water droplets hanging off a metal pole and I just had to go take pictures!  (Have you heard that before?)

This is my favorite photo of the ice droplets!  It looks metallic, doesn’t it?
Well, since I’m here I might as well say that I’m formulating a new design for my blog/website.  I haven’t figured it out quite yet but I’m getting there…and I’m excited about it!! :)
(I know I’ve had the sign that says “Blog under Construction” up for awhile and I’ve hardly done anything to the blog…FYI, the blog is under construction in my head.  I just haven’t put my ideas onto the actual blog yet! :)
Truthfully, I’m still tossing up whether to get a website or just stick with a blog.  Money-wise the free blog is winning currently! :) :)
SO, if you come on my blog one day and it just looks totally weird please ignore…I’m working on it! :)
Okay, I said what I wanted to say!
Now you all have a blessed day! :)

Sparkling Winter

A few days ago, Daddy took me out in the snow to get some winter pictures.  It was still snowing heavily but we got some good pictures.  This was probably my favorite:
Something about the cascading snowflakes gives the picture a brilliant, sparkling appearance!
